1. Acceptance and Relationship to the Terms of Service

These Provider Terms ("Provider Terms") apply to any business, nonprofit, government program, community provider, school, training organization, health provider, housing program, or other organization ("Provider," "you," or "your") that submits, claims, updates, or maintains a listing in the Ask Nebraska directory.

Ask Nebraska is owned and operated by Ask Nebraska LLC ("Ask Nebraska," "we," "us," or "our").

These Provider Terms supplement our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which also apply to you. If these Provider Terms conflict with the Terms of Service regarding directory listings, these Provider Terms control for that subject.

You accept these Provider Terms by checking the acceptance box when you submit a listing. We record the date of acceptance and the version of these Provider Terms you accepted. Listings submitted before acceptance tracking began are not treated as having accepted these Provider Terms until the Provider accepts them.

2. Eligibility and Authority

To submit a listing, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old;
• Be the owner of the organization or be authorized to act on its behalf; and
• Operate or provide services in Nebraska, or serve Nebraska residents.

By submitting a listing, you confirm that you have authority to provide the information and to agree to these Provider Terms on behalf of the organization.

3. Accuracy and Maintenance of Information

You are responsible for making sure that the information you submit is accurate, current, complete, and not misleading. This includes the organization's name, type, category, services, address, city, county, ZIP code, service area, hours, phone number, email address, website, description, and images.

You agree to tell us promptly when your information changes, including if you close, move, or stop offering a listed service. To request an update, email hello@asknebraska.com.

We may mark a listing as needing an update, ask you to confirm details, or remove a listing if information appears outdated or incorrect.

4. Licenses, Registrations, and Credentials

You are solely responsible for holding and maintaining any licenses, registrations, permits, certifications, insurance, or professional credentials required by law for your services.

Listing on Ask Nebraska does not mean we have confirmed that you hold any license, registration, or insurance unless your listing specifically shows that check as part of a Verified badge, as described in Section 6.

We may ask you for documentation by email during review. Ask Nebraska does not currently accept license or insurance documents through the listing form.

5. Listing Submission and Approval

Listings are free to submit. Every submitted listing is reviewed by a person before it appears publicly. During review we may approve, edit for clarity or formatting, request changes, mark as needing an update, or decline a listing at our discretion.

Submitting a listing does not guarantee that it will be published. We may decline duplicate listings, listings outside our directory categories, or listings that do not meet these Provider Terms.

Claiming an existing listing: If your organization is already listed, you may request to manage or update it by emailing hello@asknebraska.com. We may ask you to show that you are authorized to act for the organization before making changes.

6. Verification Procedures and Limitations

Publication and verification are separate.

• A published listing has been reviewed by our team but has not been independently verified.
• A listing displays "Verified" only when our team has recorded a verification date and completed at least one specific check. The checks that may be recorded are: contact information confirmed, website confirmed, address confirmed, business registration confirmed, license confirmed, and insurance confirmed. The listing shows which checks were completed.

Verification reflects only the specific checks we recorded on the date shown. It is not an endorsement, guarantee, certification, or recommendation of your services, quality, safety, pricing, or legal compliance. We may remove a Verified badge at any time, including when information changes or cannot be confirmed again.

7. Organic Rankings — Rankings Are Never for Sale

Ask Nebraska does not sell rankings, sponsored placements, or paid positions in the directory or in AI assistant responses. Payment of any kind does not affect where a listing appears or whether it is suggested.

Listings are ordered and suggested based on factors such as relevance to the search, location and service area, completeness of information, and whether information has been confirmed. The AI assistant may suggest only published listings that appear relevant to a user's question and location. We do not guarantee that any listing will appear for any search or question.

We do not currently display ratings or reviews.

8. Prohibited and Misleading Listings

You may not submit a listing that:

• Contains false, misleading, or unverifiable claims, including claims of government affiliation, endorsement, or approval you do not hold;
• Impersonates another person or organization;
• Promotes illegal goods, services, or activities;
• Offers services you are not legally permitted to provide;
• Contains hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or discriminatory content;
• Contains malware, spam, deceptive links, or keyword stuffing;
• Duplicates an existing listing for the same organization and location; or
• Infringes anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.

9. Responsibility for Services and Customer Relationships

You are solely responsible for the services you provide and for your relationships with anyone who contacts you through Ask Nebraska, including pricing, scheduling, quality, safety, eligibility decisions, and compliance with law.

Ask Nebraska is not a party to any agreement between you and a user. When a user selects "Contact this business," the message is composed and sent from the user's own email application; Ask Nebraska does not send, store, or monitor that message. We do not process payments between you and users.

10. Intellectual Property and Submitted Media

You keep ownership of the content you submit, including your name, logo, description, and photos.

By submitting content, you grant Ask Nebraska LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, store, display, reproduce, format, translate, and distribute that content on and in connection with the Ask Nebraska platform, including directory pages, search results, and AI assistant responses, for as long as the listing is maintained and for a reasonable period afterward to remove it from our systems.

You confirm that you own or have the necessary rights to all logos and photos you upload, and that the content does not violate anyone's rights. Uploaded images are stored privately and shown on your listing page after approval.

11. Provider Contact and Public Listing Information

Information you submit for your listing — including name, organization type, category, services, address, city, county, ZIP code, service area, hours, phone number, email address, website, description, logo, and photos — may be displayed publicly and may be used by the AI assistant to answer user questions.

The contact person name you provide is not displayed on your listing page, but you should not treat it as confidential. Do not submit personal information that you do not want associated with your listing.

We handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.

12. User Complaints and Inaccurate Listing Reports

Anyone may report a listing as having wrong contact information, being permanently closed, no longer offering a service, being in the wrong location, being misleading, or another problem. Our team reviews reports.

After a report, we may contact you, mark the listing as needing an update, edit it, remove a Verified badge, or remove the listing. If you believe a report or action about your listing is incorrect, email hello@asknebraska.com and we will review your response.

13. Suspension, Removal, and Termination

You may ask us to remove your listing at any time by emailing hello@asknebraska.com. We will remove it within a reasonable time.

We may unpublish, suspend, edit, or remove any listing, or decline future submissions, at our discretion, including if we believe you have violated these Provider Terms, the Terms of Service, or the law, or if information cannot be confirmed.

Sections 4, 9, 10 (for the removal period), 14, 16, and 17 survive removal of a listing.

14. Third-Party Services and External Links

Listings may link to your website, phone number, email, and map directions provided by third parties. We are not responsible for third-party websites or services. The platform relies on third-party service providers for hosting, storage, mapping links, and artificial intelligence processing, as described in our Privacy Policy.

15. Fees

Directory listings are currently free. Ask Nebraska does not charge Providers listing fees, commissions, or referral fees, and does not offer paid placement.

If we introduce optional paid Provider services in the future, we will describe them and their fees separately, and they will require your separate agreement. Paid services will never affect rankings.

Organization subscription plans offered to employers and other institutions on our For Organizations page are separate from directory listings and are not governed by these Provider Terms.

16. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

THE DIRECTORY AND RELATED SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ASK NEBRASKA LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE ANY NUMBER OF VIEWS, CONTACTS, CUSTOMERS, OR PLACEMENT.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ASK NEBRASKA LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, OR BUSINESS, ARISING FROM YOUR LISTING OR USE OF THE PLATFORM. BECAUSE LISTINGS ARE FREE, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THESE PROVIDER TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ask Nebraska LLC from claims arising from your services, your listing content, or your violation of these Provider Terms or the law.

17. Governing Law

These Provider Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nebraska, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

18. Changes to These Provider Terms

We may update these Provider Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date and version above. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify Providers using the email address on file. Continuing to maintain a listing after changes take effect means you accept the updated Provider Terms. If you do not agree, you may ask us to remove your listing.
